Hi, my name is Thomas Hagerman.
After cataract surgery, I wouldn’t mind wearing glasses all of the time. It is most important that I can read a book without glasses. Although there is technology to maximize the improvement in my vision, I ONLY want a treatment that my insurance will cover. I understand that my dependence on glasses will NOT be minimized. I've never had previous eye surgery to decrease my dependence on glasses. I've never tried monovision before.
Monofocal Lens (Insurance only)
Based on your responses, consider basic cataract surgery with a Basic Monofocal lens. This type of lens is covered by health insurances. All other options require more out-of-pocket expenses. While vision usually improves after cataract surgery, this option will not minimize your dependence on glasses. Please discuss this option with your doctor to see if it’s the best choice for you, as there are many factors to consider when planning your surgery, and EVERY patient benefits from a custom-tailored treatment.
